Got mine couple weeks ago,and found the battery is not better than Z1000,and still drain even if you lay the aside and not touch it.   For the sound side, feel a little improve.   The most thing I like it is it's smaller than z1000, easy to put in  my pocket.

Got my EX1000 couple days ago, after these days using, I dont think it is worth $300. The sound is very normal. maybe I need warm it for a while.   And the other thing I am disappointed is the cable, I got the US version RK-EX600,not the RK-EX1000, and can not understand why SONY sold this...
