Help make decision on EX600 and EX1000

From the reviews it seems that is a legit store. $311.00 is a good deal for the EX1000. If you want a top tier IEM the EX1000 are definitely worth the price. They are more refined and have a significantly larger sound stage over the EX600. I had issues with sibilance myself but that was me. Most people don't have that issue. I won't be suprised if you end of loving them. Good luck.

And as above price, is there any chance a fake one?

Thanks

Thanks a lot

For just about $100, the EX600 is more valueable than the EX1000, so that's why I ask. Cause the EX600 is about $200 before, in that price I have no doubt to buy EX1000, but for now I just concern if the EX1000 worth $200 more than EX600.

Well if you go for the EX600 you still get great performance but you won't have the refinement that the EX1000 has. Do you value a very wide sound stage? Airy and refined treble? A lush mid range. The EX1000 is smoother than the EX600 and an overall better performer. The thing is I'm sure you'd enjoy the EX600 but will you have doubted your purchase and end up wasting money later upgrading to the EX1000? I've done this before and would have saved a bit by just going the extra step. In the end its up to you.

I own and like the EX600, but if I were you I would definitely go for the EX1000. If not for the looks and fit, I will be a happy camper to replace my ex600 with the 1000. Go for the quality and have a peace of mind.

Got my EX1000 couple days ago, after these days using, I dont think it is worth $300. The sound is very normal. maybe I need warm it for a while.

And the other thing I am disappointed is the cable, I got the US version RK-EX600,not the RK-EX1000, and can not understand why SONY sold this phone with downgraded cable at North American market.Although it said there is no different on sound quailty between those two kind cable, I still not happy.

I am thinking if oro not I need to return EX1000 and buy EX600

So you didn't know the cable before you received the EX1000? I thought that info was known from reading the old posts at head-fi.

As for the sound, you may have to tell what you like and what you don't. I didn't like the EX600 at the beginning primarily because of the sound sig unfamiliar to my ears and the higher treble. With some mental corrections (getting accustomed to the sound sig with certain amount of listening) and some burn ins perhaps, I become enjoying the IEM's.

But if eventually you don't like the sound sig then there is no point of keeping it, nor does it make sense to get the EX600 - assuming that the EX600 share the similar sound sig as the EX1000.

I don't know how you value these IEM's and came to the conclusion it is not worth the $300. But I can tell you how I would justify my investment. For $300 if the pair of IEM's can massage my brain for 2 yrs, it would only cost me less than 50 cents a day. My lunch costs me anywhere from  8 bucks to 10 bucks and a cup of coffee costs me another 150 cents.

I recommend you try and warm up to the sound. If you don't find it sibilant then maybe you just need to acclimate yourself to the sound. You never know they could be your all time favorite. If not then I would recommend you also skip the EX600 and find something more you. Maybe the FX700 or IE80s would be more to your liking if you can't get into the EX sound. Its obviously not for everyone that's for sure.
