I just didn’t find them comfortable. The fazor rubbing against my ear being the most annoying part. the sound was the best I’ve heard, however.

So what exactly is the Cipher V2? I ordered these just now from the Apple store. Will they come with the V1 or V2? Is it that big of a difference?

Lyr 2 and Bifrost MB coming in Tuesday, these LCD-2C coming in Friday. It's going to be a good week. I've been using a Modi/Magni stack with HD650 for about 5 years now so I'm excited for some change.

Just purchased these. Can anyone recommend an amp/DAC setup for under $800 or so? I currently have the first gen Modi/Magni stack with Sennheiser HD650. I've been looking at the Bifrost with Lyr 2 or Valhalla 2 but I am very open to suggestions.

  I currently have the Audinst and ordered the Schiit stack which should be coming in soon. I'll try to remember to share my thoughts. I'll be using the HD 650's and HE-400's.

I bought some referb HD650's off of them a few months ago. packaging was really banged up but the headphones and hard case were in perfect condition.

Bose QC15's are the most comfortable headphone I've ever worn. Too bad the sound isn't all that great.    Of the higher quality headphones I've worn, I'd say Sennheiser 650's take the cake.

If you can stretch your budget a bit, I've found the Ultrasone 580's to work very nicely with rock and techno and require no amp to perform well. You can get them at B&H for $120 and I'd say they're definitely worth it.

Even the 50% without the coupon code that no longer works is probably a pretty good price as well I would think.

I'm about to pull the trigger for some 650's on Amazon and I was wondering if it was worth getting the refurb'ed ones and saving $100 or should I just go ahead and get the new ones?   New is $400 and refurb is $300

You wouldn't happen to be the guy that is selling the Audinst on Ebay would you? I noticed he was from Long Island as well.

Just ordered these headphones and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a DAC/amp combo for under $200?    Really considering the Audinst HUD-MX1 but any other suggestions would be great.

So would you say a FiiO E9 would not be good enough to power the 650's? I'm a college kid so I do have a budget. I just want to get the most for my money. That being said, I do want the difference from the Ultrasones to be pretty noticeable with whatever I decide to go with.
