I purchased my Aeolus headphones second hand. The owners' card has a 2022 date of production. Came with the universal lambskin perforated earpads and the owner had ordered the hybrid pads as second choice. My headphones have three holes in the baffles.

Interesting. I still have a pair of  Van den Hul The First single ended interconnects. Always liked them. Very nice treble....no etch or brightness at all. Have not compared it with the Mogami, but then again you say The Second is not similar in sound to The First anyway. 

Mogami 2549 for my single ended interconnect,purchased from 10audio.    I believe the fella at 10audio finds that a different Mogami wire sounds better for balanced applications. Don't know which one that would be, though.

I have a V200 driving a set of LCD-X headphones. Love it. I use the Oppo BDP105 as front end. The 105 has balanced outputs, but I am presently using the single ended connection from the Oppo to the V200. Is there any consensus (tricky, I know) about whether balanced out from the 105 to balanced...

Not to give you even more work , but when things settle down, it would be interesting to hear how your turntable/phono front end compares to a current decent dac; maybe not so much as apples to apples (different technologies, after all) but just in terms of overall enjoyment? 

I'm using an Oppo BDP 105 blu ray player, with music files on an external hard drive. "What does it sound like?"......uuuhhhmmmm....hard to put into words. Everything sounds at least wonderful, with so much music revealed in an effortless manner - an attribute I really like. The detail is there...

Violectric V200 + LCD-X = musical bliss. 

I demoed the LCD-2s some months ago, but didn't have the V200 at the time. But from what many very experienced head-fiers are saying, the LCD-Xs are more neutral then the LCD-2s. I would imagine that if the combo you now have is not 'too warm' for you, then the X would not be too warm. But best...

+1   So true. I am just loving the LCD-X and Vio V200 combination. I am sure some would say "too smooth", "too dark"......... whatever. I am transported, and could listen all day.

No, wasn't me. I never actually owned the LCD-2s, just demoed them from Cable Company.

Yeah, this is how I remember the Divas: the record being played when I heard them was Famous Blue Raincoat, with Leonard Cohen's voice filling the room. So yes the midrange really did sing when the sales person cranked it up..... in that typical unforced, planar way.   A little off topic, sorry.  

+1   I think this is why transducers that tend to have a 'fuller' low end can sound pretty satisfying at lower volume levels. All about balance. Spendor speakers (at least the Classic Series) are a case in point for loudspeakers that sound very nice even at lower levels. When I demoed a pair...
