wow just looked at that hd660, what a beyer clone that one is. how does the hp150 cups fit to or did you have to do anything special to get them to clamp on.

i want the new hp151's but the QC issues people seem to have with these scare me. i noticed the hanger that holds the cup to the headband can snap since its basically hollow on the backside (wondering if filling in the backside of the hanger with JB weld would beef it up in strength) just tried...

just got the 400s and i dunno they dont seem to have enough treble or something for me. im kind of preferring the sound of my alessandro (grado) ms1i over them which seems like crazy talk. i think ill prob send them back because i dont see a $300 difference...maybe im not an audiophile or its...

what do you guys think about G-cush pads on a set of Ms1i's with 4 holes punched? im kind of wanting a bigger soundstage for opera music. currently using the L-cush pads.

any ms1000 owners in here? 

ive probably asked this here before (cant remember) do wood cups make any difference to the sound? thinking about going for a pair for my ms1i but if its more a aesthetics thing i think i'll just save my money and just put it on a better dac. 

yep, mostly aesthetic differences and a microphone.

Anyone here compared the 400s to the AD1000x? i'm interested in comparisons with female vocals in the opera type genre like jackie evancho.

you sent those overly stretched pads back to amazon? lol. i was looking at the x2 but ppl are saying the QC on them is iffy right now and i went and took a look on amazon and amazon has the item under review atm.

1 more question, did the thickness in those pads change the clamping factor much?

were the alpha pads hard to get on? also does it affect the midrange any?

keep us updated on the pad quality. after looking on amazon there are people with the pads coming apart after a short time.

do we know which pads work the best on the 400s? im wondering how the mrspeakers alpha pads would sound on them since alot of ppl are using the angled hm5 pads..

you're not wrong i think the women that care about audio quality is small minority but there are a few out there.

yeah but hd600 you're going to atleast need an amp to drive! so basically you're spending 100+ more on the senns compared to fairly easy to drive fidelio.

no, i'm pretty positive someone on this thread or another said they contacted alessandro and all their current headphones are also the "e" updated version. or maybe im reading what you're saying wrong.
