DT-880 (600ohm) -> HE-400 - much of an upgrade?
Looking to switch out my headphone and try the HE-400. Would it be much of an upgrade going from the DT-880 to the HE-400. Also, I don't want to keep too many phones, so not sure if I would sell the DT-880 or the Denon D2000 after I purchase the HE-400. I hate Head-Fi, gives me too much...- atl5

Looking to buy a set of GE JAN5654W from the first page as it is well rated and I only have stock now. Of these two auction, I'm thinking the first one is the correct one, but what is the difference between the first one and the one that says JAN JLRV? ...- atl5

Best portable Amp/Dac with RCA output
Quote: I have thought about that as well. Will the sound be as good through output to the amp. With 3.5mm, I guess there is more room to make the jack faulty.- atl5

Best portable Amp/Dac with RCA output
Trying to simplify my setup now. Want a portable Amp/Dac for traveling with my laptop and then when I am at home, just output it to a desktop amp via RCA for bigger headphones. Only two I know is the U-Dac2 and Ibasso D7. D7 has a quality DAC chip, but I heard it is flaky with driver issue...- atl5

Koss Pro DJ 100 - The Budget King
Picked up the TBSE1 yesterday. Sounds good out of the box, but the smaller round shape of the headphone still need some getting use to. One thing that I did right away was used a spare V-Moda cable (ordered 2 for my Fostex T50RP, one in red/black and one grey/black). The grey/black cables...- atl5

Koss Pro DJ 100 - The Budget King
I'm going to order a pair for $45 in Canada. If anyone else in Toronto is interested in a pair, let me know. Free shipping over $75, so 2 pairs will qualify, comes out to $50.xx for a pair after tax. If no one is interested, will pay the $10 shipping charges and order tomorrow.- atl5

Great tip BloodyPenguin, I did this right after I read your post. Digitech just sounds and looks cheesy, digtial + technology, lol. Looks so much better completely OEM!- atl5

Just received my headphones today. Great deal, but in Canada it is always ruin by taxes and duty. Got charged $10 processing fee and $8 taxes, so grand total is $88. I thought it was process when it was shipped!- atl5

Fostex T50RP?
Quote: I don't have them myself so I'm cutting and pasting a review. "I bought the T20RP MKII expecting the same driver as in the T50RP, except with some damping changes. I was exactly right -- the driver is the same, but the felt damping of the bass ports and the middle knob are...- atl5

Fostex T50RP?
I think the Fostex T20RP MK II has the same drivers as the T50RP and can be had for $55 at B&H. They are also moddable, so with the money you save, you can spend on the modding material.- atl5

Hey Iron Snake, I see that you have the Fostex T50RP as well. So will the spare pad fit the Fostex, if so then bonus for me! Also, are they hard to put on if thy do fit. Thanks,- atl5

Ok, I have one on its way. Never thought of the O2 as portable, but then again, I've never seen one in person before. From pictures, it looks just slightly smaller then a desktop amp. Quote:- atl5

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
Ordered my cables with a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter last Thursday and got it in the mail yesterday. Fast shipping Canada for only $5 and they even threw in some stickers. I got the red and black/gray one, only complaint so far is that it is a bit too long for portable use. Also, found that the T50RP...- atl5

Thanks for the heads up! I'm good with either coil or straight, but that was the only replacement I can see in Canada. As long as its not 10ft like the orignal cables and I can take them out, I am happy. Ordered a red and a black/gray one, both looks good in some of the pictures I saw. Will...- atl5
