I still remember I was listening to the Apple Earbuds when I was twelve and suddenly thinking, "These suck."- GhosT98

It's very hard to audition gear in Sydney, which makes it hard because I might save up for quite a while only to find out that I don't like it. Attending Can-Con should be a great experience.- GhosT98

Can-con 2 (Sydney 2012) Meet Aug 18th 3:30 to 8:30pm (near Epping station)
I'm even younger than the 16s asking about age. Hmmmm... I live about 10 minutes walk from Epping Station. How convenient! I don't own a drivers license though, which is very inconvenient.- GhosT98

When did you guys become audiophiles? What was your first bit of kit? I first had a UE700 two years ago and have been interested in audio ever since. Probably both a blessing and a curse, because it's the audial equivalent of not being blind (read: Beats) but I'm forever doomed to having a giant...- GhosT98

Entry into headphones
Some of these are more suitable for on the go and others for home. The M50 is a legendary portable while the open-backed Grado has zero isolation so wouldn't be suitable for the outdoors. Consider whether you listen more out and about or at home. If the answer is, "more on the go" then...- GhosT98

Help a student
Hi all, I'm new to the audiophile scene (owning only a TF10, M80 and an iPod ) and would like some advice on a desktop rig for my Macbook. I definitely prefer circumaural rather than on-ear, but if Grado is the best I can do then I'm willing to sacrifice. With my current lack of experience...- GhosT98

V-MODA M80 replacement pads?
I'm not liking the pleather pads on the m80 - they squish my ears up and feel hot very quickly. Anyone know what velour or leather pads I can use to mod that fits well and won't change the sound much?- GhosT98

UE TripleFi 10??
Hey guys, I just found the TripleFi 10 for extraordinarily cheap - $250!! I'm aware of the issues, like huge earpieces and some sibilance, but for the price... Should I just go for it, or are similarly priced (but less discounted) IEMs like the Westone 2 a better bet?- GhosT98

Any last warnings/notes that I should know before buying the UE600's?
The UE600 has nice crisp treble and mids, but the bass is less punchy, so people who want high-impact bass might not like them. I myself own the UE700...- GhosT98

Portable closed-back headphones?
Say if I were to use the Beyerdynamic DT1350 with my iTouch, how powerful an amp would I need to achieve somewhat "complete" sound? I'm hoping I can use a relatively miniscule amp like the Fiio E1...- GhosT98
