Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2
I've only had mine for a couple weeks. I agree with that write-up 100%. The headphone is colored but in a good way suitable for a portable. I wasn't sure I would like them but they definitely add something different to my collection. Easy to use, easy to listen to, and lots of bass depth...- warpdriver

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Series 2
Hmm, picked up the P5 series 2 at Best Buy in Canada for $166 on clearout but after seeing the some reviews that say the S1 was more neutral, not sure if I should open it and keep it (no returns if opened). For $166 I guess I shouldn't complain even if they aren't the best sounding...- warpdriver

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread
They aren't non-existent in the sub bass but their subbass isn't really prominent, they start to roll off in the mid bass downwards to my ears. It's still there but a bit polite. I also find them more sensitive to position, if you don't get a good seal, you'll lose subbass fast. But yeah...- warpdriver

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread
yeah, for sure, it's rare to see B&O stuff discounted 35% L0Slobos, figured I can't go wrong even if they sucked, could probably resell them for more money. Yes, these are flawed headphones, but they keep pulling me back. I thought between the P7, Momentum, Philips X1 in the $3-400 range...- warpdriver

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread
I'm surprised that there hasn't been more discussion on these. I bought these when amazon.ca had a 35% off sale on these (can't resist a deal), and they are really nice. They are very natural sounding, no bass emphasis but still play deep. At first, I thought they were a little bass light for my...- warpdriver

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
For the cable........... it is possible to use the remote control cable and plug it into a normal audio device? I've never had a cable that has four contacts because I only use my headphones with regular headphone jacks. I just picked up an iPod touch but I'm going to switch back and...- warpdriver

Disappointed with Audioengine a2, what should I buy now?
Go with a PSB speaker. They are tuned as neutral as can be for any manufacturer since PSB tunes their speakers for flat response in the NRC. Alpha B1, Image B4, Image B5, Imagine Mini depending on your price range. (note that Image and Imagine are two lines with Imagine being higher...- warpdriver

REVIEW: PSB Imagine mini Speakers
I already had too many speakers but my local dealer had a sale on the Minis and I couldn't resist giving them a try. I also bought cheap A1 amp to try out....I have a Audioengine N22 but I wanted to see how this little A1 fares when driving an upscale bookshelf. I haven't had...- warpdriver

...and probably because the MC15 is usually sold mainly in "audio stores" rather than "music/pro" stores -
Got my Dynaudio MC 15 ("the high end multimedia speaker") - review
Quote: To be fair, the MSRP for the BM5AMk2 is supposed to be $625 each, even though everybody sells it discounted to $499 each. The MC15 sells for $1299 with no discount for some reason. -
Got my Dynaudio MC 15 ("the high end multimedia speaker") - review
Quote: they are only more expensive because they include stands and grille. Otherwise they are identical to these http://dynaudioprofessional.com/bm-series/monitors/bm5a-compact/ except have RCA unbal inputs They haven't revised the BM5A-Compact yet to series II. The regular... -
Sennheiser RS160, 170 ,180... Anyone?
I have a RS160 for late night tv watching but I'm thinking of buying more wireless, so I ordered two full sets of RS180 My question: I will now have THREE base stations. I want to connect each base station to a different TV system (I have three TVs) Can I use my two RS180...- warpdriver

Got my Dynaudio MC 15 ("the high end multimedia speaker") - review
can't go wrong with the matching Dynaudio sub. it's tailor made for the MC15 since the rolloff characteristics match the speakers without the need for an external crossover Quote: -
Sennheiser HD 700: Officially Unveiled at CES 2012!
that's exactly how I feel. I wanted a HD650 with a taste of HD800 instead keeping the same sound signature of the HD800 but with possibly more sibilance issues Quote:- warpdriver

Emotiva Pro airmotiv4 Loudspeakers Review
Actually, the Imagine Minis are not twice the cost. My local dealer had the Minis on sale for $500 CAD (the price is always negotiable), whereas the AM4 are $400 USD. For me, by the time I import the Emotivas they are roughly the same. I notice this all the time in forums, people don't... -

Quote: I agree. It's nice to know what you are getting these days still. The user reviews seem decent. And certainly Steve likes them (and he can tell the difference between ALAC/FLAC and uncompressed files ). -
Emotiva Pro airmotiv4 Loudspeakers Review
Quote: the Q5 has XLR inputs even though their website picture doesn't show it (see their specs) The point is: these QMS speakers are not a Emotiva design, they were already launched last year in China, and Emotiva is licensing the designs for NA market. They added the XLR... -
Emotiva Pro airmotiv4 Loudspeakers Review
Quote: Steve's statement that lossless compressed files don't sound as good as uncompressed files is one of the most ridiculous things I've read in a long time. The explanation better make some sense otherwise Steve will cease to have any credibility as a reviewer for me -
Emotiva Pro airmotiv4 Loudspeakers Review
Supposedly these are just rebranded qmsaudio pc speakers. Emvotia claims they tweaked the crossover to their specs but they are essentially importing this ODM design and reselling it for North American market (with some markup of course) http://www.qmsaudio.com/ -
