    AD8610 on Browndog pic (~2 seconds@56k)

Just a word... I have had to add a tab of solder to when addingcapacitor decoupling and/or current loading. So far I have had no problems. Have had problems with breaking pins due to occasional incompetence.

    JFETs for 5ma CCS?

Hi there, Does anyone know what combination of Cascoded JFETS and resistor are needed to obtain a 5mA opamp Biasing into Class A. I cannot seem to find out the exact JFET # to acheive this. Thanks for all the help. Cheers

    high quality resistors

Just took out the tantalums(non magnetic) that I bought from Angela's Instruments to replace my Vishay VTA55s. I had them as the feed backs for my I/V opamps and in the circuit path of my SACD player. I must say that they brought very nice things to the highs and the midrange registers...

    the best cost-no-object caps?

hi all. Anyone try out the new oscon SP grade which replaced the SG grade in the analog sections of source equipment? It is meant to be of even lower inductance and hence better in analog sections?

    AD8610 voltage

AD confirmed that these opamps should work fine to a maximum of 26v when voltage is applied to a single rail. ie is ok up to +0v and -26v or -0v and +26v... They say it is the total difference that matters... just be careful with the corresponding input voltages. This is good...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Hi PPL, thanks for the note. The ad8065 is supposed to be able to take up to 24v if I am reading the data sheets right. It seems to be working just fine in my scd777 in I/V position. I had ad2064s there originally and then the ad825s. Upon your recommendation I am trying these, current...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

As I could not do without music anymore, I had to replace the noneworking ad746s in the buffer/servo stage. I did not want to go back to the ad712s or the ad8512s. I will have to say that the ad8066s may turn out to be even better when they come out, but these are excellent. All the...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Ok time for another stupid question...!!! As formerly stated, I have 16.6v supply rails for all the opamsp in my SCD777es and I would love to use the ad8620s if they are as good as the ad8610s in my buffer/servo stage and maybe my "mix amp" (balanced to unbalanced) stage. Hence voltage must...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Thanks very much for your info. That helped me a lot. I now have a plan for my SCD 777es. I too am finding the ad8512 though quite good, not quite good as the ad8610. I am not sure I am willing to perform surgery on the SCD audio circuit board in order to use ad8610s or 8620s. I have a 2...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Well I did do it... I put them into the buffer/servo position. Tthere is now greater transparency and the the soundstage became undoubtedly deeper and wider. I tried the ad8512s first becouse of their lower noise. It seems to be reflected in the increased soundstage. Still not...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Hi there, thanks for the responses...much appreciated. I am looking for a somewhat warm midrange sound, but accuracy none the less. The Ad8610 gave me this sound to a greater extent. I also love that deep clear bass that the ad8610 gave me. As this last buffer/servo stage probably has...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Hi and thanks much for the encouragement. I am currently testing out the ad825 as a replacement for the 8610s. In the meantime, I am tackling another issue. I know this is not the best way to do this, but I wmay not have time to get to this for a while. My big question is this... The...

has Anyone tried The AD-8512 Opamp?

Hi there, Sorry to intrude on your conversation, but I am very interested inthis exchange esp with respect to the Ad8512 and the ad8610. As I have repeorted in other forums, I have been trying to upgrade my cd player's I/V conversion chips from their original opa 2604s. At your...
