You can baypass Pure DAC connecting Pure with other  DAC via coax(optical) out.

240 GB Toshiba is PATA HDD, so how it can fit to late 2009 classic if classic has ZIF interface? Are there any PATA/ZIF adapters?

Volume control also works on ipod touch. I thougt that it is not working, because when you pressing volume button on pure's remote -  volume scale doesn't appear on iPod screen and only volume icon is visible. In fact it works and if you press volume button several times i-20 is playing much...

With touch volume control on i-20 also not works.

On my stereo setup - krell preamp, usher amp and usher 3 way speakers, i-20 analog output vs touch 4G lod is a night and day difference. I mean, in every aspect - stereo imaging, channel separation, clarity of highs and bass impact. This little toy is imho real gem.

They sounds pretty good without additional amping, straight from my touch 4G HPO.
