720 Position Attenuator
You could use the REF input of a CMOS Multiplying DAC as your Signal IN, and use the DAC out as the "wiper". Then use your encoder/memory algorithim to control the "log" type funtion of the linear 12 bit MDAC.... Check the app notes at Analog Devices and National for more info. just a...- jmedin

Another PCB Layout - Gilmore Dynalo / Dynamid
1) I was just wondering if anyone has tested the board WITH/WITHOUT the 2 "new" bias diodes in the output section VS. just the (higher value) resistor WITHOUT the diodes? 2) What function do the diodes provide if they are not physically coupled to the output transistors? 3) Does it...- jmedin

CMOY/FM transmitter/pencil case (imgs)
I am a pen "nut" too. Once you have tried a SENSA, you will never want to write with anything else again! For those who do a lot of writing, the SENSA can ward off medical problems to fingers. For those of us (like me) with arthritis, this pen is a God-send! (How much is a hand worth?)- jmedin

Grado RA1 Fastners
Go to www.mcmelectronics.com as they have a very nice set of ALL types of "security" fastener bits in a very nice case. It has the bit you need and a BUNCH of others. I think it cost me less than $20.00 USD. I think they do have a 25 min order so pick out something else too.- jmedin

Pocket CMOY hissing
The hiss is comming from your SOURCE. ie Minidisc player, CDP or what ever. Once you have a gain pot on the input, turn the volume down as low as possible on the SOURCE and use the pot on the CMOY. This will reduce the dreaded hiss you are hearing. (It is the noise in the amplifiers of your...- jmedin
