I bought a pair of sony mdr-1rs for £170 brand new. I think thats a pretty good deal.

Couldnt agree more. I found the other posters here to be pretentious and arrogant. No help whatsoever.

I find that when I'm depressed listening to morbid, self pitying tunes like The Smiths help. I just think that I'm glad Im not THAT guy...he has way more problems.   And a daily dose of Citalopram might help :)   Hope you feel better soon

I don't get it. Everyone here says that using a headphone amp makes for a better sound so I'm assuming that going through my NAD would improve matters?   The NAD 3020i isnt a headphone amp. I'm just confused as to if I should use it or not. My 595s have plenty volume just plugged straight...

So would anyone care to answer my original question?
