Grado Fan Club!
Not to my knowledge. It came to me that way and given the rest of the condition, pretty sure it is original but...I cannot really say 100% as I was not first owner. Thanks for commenting, it is good to know.- Jonoh

Grado Fan Club!
Hi, I have a vintage Grado RS1 which I am thinking of selling on ebay or here at headfi. I have never gotten enough use out of it but since it was a special purchase for me back when I was trying out full sized headphones, I have never passed them on. I am thinking now is the time to let...- Jonoh

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Hi, I am curious if anyone that has experience with either ER4SR or XR also has/had Senn IE80. The Senn is currently my favorite IEM but I had an Ety ER4 years ago (lost it) which I loved and am thinking of jumping back in. That said, I have no issues with my Senn so the new Ety would just...- Jonoh

Replacement Tips for FiiO EX1 / Titan 1; light blue, greenish core?
Hi, I just purchased a FiiO EX1 to supplement my collection and really like it for the money. I have a small collection of tips (e.g. comfy, spinfit, jvc, auvio) and found I like one of the stock ones best though my jvc dots were pretty close. I was wondering if anyone could point...- Jonoh

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
I apologize if this has already been asked and answered as I did try to find an answer to my question in previous posts. My question has to do with power necessary to drive the new models well. When I had the old ER4s, I preferred the S over the P and used an amp. The new earphones are...- Jonoh

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
You should be thankful, as I am, that Etymotic reacts to what the market tells them. Companies that fall in love with their technology over the needs of their customers often suffer because of it. The fact that Etymotic innovated away from their more academic standard to a better one for...- Jonoh

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Hi, Can EtyDave or any pround owner of a ER4XR or ER4SR chime in on cable noise with the new cables? Over ten years ago I had an ER4S which I liked a lot but when I lost it at an airport, I replaced it with a earphone from a different company which used an over the ear cable system. The...- Jonoh

Help, need IE80 replacement cable
hi, My IE80 cable was damaged. I called Sennheiser for a replacement but they do not have stock and not sure when they will. So...I either have to wait indefinitely for Sennheiser to make replacement cables available or purchase off of ebay. I like the OEM cable as it is quite...- Jonoh

Anyone using an se420 or se530 while exercising? Any issues?
bump...see if I get any responses. I am about to just get another set of E4s as I am fearful that the plug on the SE series will bounce around a bit too much while moving about. It seems like a lot of people have the SEs and no one has mentioned this as a problem but...I tried some SE530s and...- Jonoh

the most "grown-up", "luxurious", etc. IEM
Besides the aforementioned custom ear molds which certainly will be more Lexus like than a universal fit, I think the Shure SE530 is pretty luxurious. I am not rich so spending up for a SE530 would count as a luxury in my book. It is comfortable, understated for its size and of course very good...- Jonoh

Shure SE owners, do you get microphonics from the plug bouncing about?
Hi, I hope some of you with Shure SEs can provide your experience using these earphones while exercising and/or just moving around. I was a happy owner of an E4 until it broke (my fault and out of warranty) which I used mainly for the gym. After having gotten used to the E4, I am really...- Jonoh

Should i start with a se530..?
Note that Shure's warranty policy for personal audio (which the SE line is) only warranties purchases from authorized dealers and only to the original purchaser. They changed up last year to be more restrictive. I am still going to get one, just paying full retail.- Jonoh

Shure se530 for $316 + no tax good deal?
Also note that unless they are authorized dealers (Amazon is an authorized dealer but the 3rd parties are most likely not) Shure will not warranty them if you have a problem. Shure altered their policy last year to include only authorized dealers. Given their cabling issue, I would want that...- Jonoh

Anyone using an se420 or se530 while exercising? Any issues?
hi, My Shure E4s developed a problem so I can either send them in for repair (no longer under warranty) or upgrade to an SE420 or SE530. Much of the use, but not all, will be while exercising at the gym (weights and also a lot of treadmill). The E4s have been great for this use. My...- Jonoh

Would Shure se530 or se420s be an upgrade over E4?
Hi, It has been awhile since I posted here and there have been a lot of new products introduced over the last couple years which leads me to my question. Would the Shure se530 or se420 be an upgrade over Shure E4? I use my E4s with my Ipod while traveling and at the gym. I do use an amp...- Jonoh
