Wish these were as comfortable as my HD598's. Probably my only grief with them. The clamp on my jaw and circular pads rather than oval aren't winning me over.

So are these better than the HD650's? Or better question, how are they different? I'm happy with mine, but with 650's being a little over 300 this Friday, I'm just wondering if I missed out.

Do these need an amp/dac? Running on my new onboard which seems to run up to 600ohms fine and no system noise.   Somewhat underwhelmed coming from hd598's....can't find that $100 difference in SQ
