it  sounded a little more balanced when i played them through a reciever as compared to my ipod, but then again that could be just me having a bias since i was expecting them to sound more balanced. Its not a significant imbalance but maybe i will go and get my ears checked.

After further listening, i figured it could also be an imbalance in my hearing, or can the sound of stereo recordings give an illusion that treble is more abundant on the left and bass is abundant on the right?

after comparing the EQed coppers to the grado, i actually found the coppers to be slightly brighter, but the sound of the grados were more natural and detailed

these fit snug on my head so i think theyll be fine for now.  If the head band gets looser then i might consider getting a new headband pad.  but i will gladly show these off in public, i think they look awesome!

ya ive been fiddling around with the eq and the tma1 sounds veiled no matter what i do to the higher frequencies.  the coppers seem to be more lively.  The wait for my 325is is killing me but ill just have to wait a couple more days

Now this question might seem a little ridiculous but i want to know if its possible to imitate the grado sound with an EQ with bass oriented headphones such as the tma1 and the the turbine coppers.  im using Equ for the iphone as my equalizer and im just wondering how the graph should look like...

id suggest upping the bands for the higher frequencies a tad bit and it should sound more lively

ya i get that but the beats are well constructed and they dont sound too bad and i think its a decent price at 225 if you really like it
