Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
Well to be fair after waiting fifty minutes last Thursday (?) I got through and the person told me my MTPG will be shipped out in 24-48 hours and I would get a notice. I got a notice this Tuesday, and I received them today. So it's not completely hopeless.- rank08822

Best in-ear headphone for rap music, tour BEATS?
Quote: +1. I'm an avid rap listener and the MG7's are great. They were available for 110 including shipping off the website with a coupon (the code is in the deals thread). Not sure if they still have it but I'm sure you can get a pair used for around 100.- rank08822

Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread
Quote: CALL them. Do not use e-mail, they seem to never respond in many cases including mine. Make sure to call their support line and be prepared for a hold time of anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. If it says they're down just keep trying.- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
Quote: You have no time to call at all right? If I were you I'd keep sending e-mails and posting messages on their Facebook publically...Monster has to realize the horrible rep this is giving them. Also they're in the West Coast so maybe you actually can call them if you're in a...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
After sending an e-mail to the support e-mail address (with no response as of today...) and not being able to get through via phone yesterday due to "technical issues", I was able to get through today after a fifty minute wait. Apparently my Monster Turbine Gold's will be shipped to me within 24...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
Quote: Am I wrong in sensing some hostility from you? I personally don't understand how you can wait five months with just an e-mail either...I last e-mailed them on Friday and plan on calling them tomorrow, or Tuesday if they're taking President's off. That's not the point thought, the...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
The thing is that you're explicitly told my Monster to e-mail them for support issues, not call. I don't understand the point of even having an e-mail if no one ever responds...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
Quote: I haven't called them yet because 1)From experience you are put on hold for at least thirty minutes before someone answers, and 2)I was told to contact Monster at monsterproducts.com/service if I had any questions about my case. If they don't respond by Monday I'm probably going...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
Maybe I'm wrong in saying that recently their CS has gone bad; it could be that generally it's good but a small percentage of the time it fails badly, but still I don't think that's acceptable for a company that's as big and that's been around as long as Monster. According to the tracking...- rank08822

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
It seems that recently monster's service has been awful. If you're a fan on their offical page on facebook you can see plenty of people complaining about ridiculous hold times, unanswered e-mails, etc. Me personally, I had to be put on hold for thirty minutes to talk to someone about my broken...- rank08822

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I just got mine a few days ago and the bass does seem massive when called for, like when I'm listening to Daft Punk or Massive Attack. However, in other cases, like on Lana Del Rey's new album, the bass doesn't seem so massive, which is a good thing IMO because you don't want massive bass when...- rank08822

Cheapest Sennheiser IE 8?
How did people get the IE8s for much cheaper than listed from RazorDog? Did they just e-mail him and metnion they were head-fi members? I can't imagine the "make offer" option on ebay letting you buy them for below 300$- rank08822

what kind of sounding iems are perfect for me?
Oh, you might not get free shipping then. The microphonics are sort of bad worn cord down without the clip to be honest. With the clip it's certainly manageable and sometimes un-noticible.- rank08822

what kind of sounding iems are perfect for me?
I can vouch for the Monster Turbine Pro Gold working very well for hip-hop. You can indeed get them from 170 at either onecall or J&R. Call them and ask for the price, and if they don't give it to you just say you found it at the other for 170 and they should mark it down to at least that much...- rank08822

Best un-amped IEMs for under $200
I'm pretty new here, but I think the Monster Turbine Pro Gold Edition would be a good choice for you based on your music taste (I'm assuming you want a fun rather than analytical sound with good bass?) I listen to mainly hip-hop and pop and they sound amazing with the MPTG. Not sure about...- rank08822

First high-end IEM--Monster Turbine Pro Copper
Are you sure you have an authentic pair? This definitely should not happen and 163 CAD for a pair of Coppers seems too good to be true. Futureshop does not appear to be an authorized dealer. Either way sending it in ASAP to get a replacement is recommended.- rank08822

Doesn't anyone else care about the shape of the plug?
I'm one of the minority who prefers the "I" (straight-angle) to the "L" (90 degree) plugs. I recently found this site about two months ago after years of buying new skullcandy inks every month (I know ) and I now have an ER6I and a MTPG, and both have the L shaped plugs. I find it's often...- rank08822
