Schiit DACs (Bifrost and Gungnir down, one to go)? The information and anticipation thread.
Jason, I think what YOU want (really), is a bulletproof 24/96 usb. I really don't know whether you want to get into the business of writing device drivers for windows. What's worse, you'll have to also spend time maintaining them. That's what'll be the expensive part. Are you going...- MangoMonkey

The Official Grado 325i Owners Club.
Right out of the box, these sound a lot mellower than the 225i's I tried for a week. I was afraid the 325is would be too bright as a lot of reviewers have said. I guess because the bass digs deeper, i have no need to turn up the volume, so these are ultimately less fatiguing. I've got them on...- MangoMonkey

Headroom Micro Amp struggling with HD 650s?
I have a feeling that the Micro Amp struggles powering the HD 650s (even through the MicroDAC). At higher volumes, it just doesn't as smooth as I would expect it to. Is this just the sonic signature of the headroom amps, or is it a wee bit underpowered, or is it a problem with the power...- MangoMonkey

Good match for Grados? (And another Astrodyne question).
I've got the Micro Stack. Just wondering if HeadRoom Micro Amps are a good match for Grado 225i? Or will they end up being way too bright? I currently run the stack with Sennheiser 650s and Denon 5000s. They're fine with the denons, but I feel they don't have enough power for the Sennheiser...- MangoMonkey

Dac recommendation for Burson HA-160
Any recommendations on a good source for the burson HA-160. I'm thinking of the following options: a) Get the HA-160D instead of the HA-160. b) Get the Arcam rDac. c) Cambridge Magic (or something like that). Any opinions? It'll be the same money for the most part. I expect DAC...- MangoMonkey

Musical fidelity M1 - HPA opinions or Graham Slee Solo/Novo or Burson Audio HA-160 or Woo Audio ?
I'll be running Denon 5000s and Sennheiser 650s with the amp. Any recommendations between these two amps? Any other amps I should consider that are better value (same quality, cheaper price?).- MangoMonkey

Upgrade from HeadRoom Micro Amp/Dac stack
I'm currently running the HeadRoom Micro Amp/Dac stack with Sennheiser 650s and Denon 5000s. Any recommendations on what I could upgrade? (Amp? Dac? Headphones?). What I should try out that would be a substantial upgrade and not a sidways move?- MangoMonkey

Amp to go with Arcam rDac and (Sennheiser HD 650, Denon 500)
Any recommendations? I also own the headroom Micro Stack (Dac + Amp). Might consider selling that stack if someone can suggest a headphone Amp to go with the Arcam rDac.- MangoMonkey
