LCD-2 Aluminums (my preference for durability, 1445XX) arrived today, along with parts for a DIY HE-adapter. The LCDs sound lovely through my Miniwatt N3-clone valve speaker amp and IMO are more synergistic with that amp than with my Magni 2 Uber. Midrange has never sounded so lush!    

Does this have resistors to act as a load when used with tube amps to protect their output transformers? I would also be interested in a comparison between the Hifiman and the Can Opener.

Just scored a set of Sylvania brand 5Y3 rectifiers as well as a set of GE brand 6V6GTA tubes. I've read that Sylvania 6V6s and GE 6V6GTAs sound pretty similar and are well regarded.   Just out of curiosity, is there an audible difference when swapping different rectifier tubes?
