just got m9ps , gonna be a gift for my brother . Just wondering if he will have any compatibility issues with these, hes rockin an ipod nano now which i assume will be ok, but just out of curiosity what wont these work with- slaw82

My First Good Set Of Headphones: How big of a difference should I expect?
i just stepped up to grado sr80is from the same sonys (they were sturdy if nothing else) and ive been listen to them constantly for 2 days now . you should be pumped- slaw82

Portable FLAC and gapless devices?
the sansa clip and/or fuze are decent starting points and can be rockboxed or left alone and will play FLAC . I dont remember if sansa firmware will do gapless though- slaw82

updater definitely a waste of space, but my point is if its on the computer it might be interfering w/ rockbox installation and also rockbox is totally worth it even if you have to mail it off- slaw82

i kinda remember the sansa updater giving me problems directly after the rockbox install ,the sansa firmware is on the chip and never gos away so the updater could flash it back or something (sorry for the overly simple solutions thats just what i always hope for)- slaw82

did you try to restart the player after the rockboxing ,i dont have a clip but the fuze connects to the computer w/ the original firmware then needs restarted to get to the rockbox software- slaw82

specific advice from (mostly) impartial sources , just ordered some grado sr80is which may be my first good sounding headphone ever . no doubt this will lead to other, more expensive stuff- slaw82
