    JVC HA RX700 LOW BASS

The only larger Sennheiser's that I've heard are the HD515's and they sounded like $#!+ IMO. I really like my HD238 portables but they're open and leak sound.     Maybe try the HD228's. They are very simalar to the 238's except they are closed-back. They cost $60 though...      ...

$180 for "garbage sound?" That's insane.   How old are these things?

Could you, in your ultimate wisdom, identify these Shure IEMs?       Sorry about the blurry pics - a friend of mine friend took them. He said that his brother paid a pretty penny for these but there is no model number on the IEMs themselves or the case they came with.    ...

Quote:   I haven't tried it myself but the KSC's supposedly sound REALLY bad in a closed enclosure. The Kanen's are sealed, right? So unless you're ready to take a drill to them and add some mesh or something I'd leave the KSC's out. Maybe try the driver in the Sportapro.

    JVC HA RX700 LOW BASS

There is, but like I said, it doesn't help much.   My advice to you would be to sell your JVC's on the For Sale / Trade forum (people will snap them up) and use that cash to buy a pair of Maxell DHP ii's for just a touch over $30 shipped.  Much, MUCH cleaner, tighter and impactful bass.  ...

13 years old, Now trying to find an amp! Headphones have been found!

Quote: Both my JVC HA-D700's and my HA-D990's have a fairly flat response and they both sound leagues better than the Shure's.

Quote: Because they're flat, nonmusical, unentertaining and just plain BORING. That's why.         Quote: Oh, I realize this but I manage to have several phones that measure quite flat yet are entertaining to listen to. The Shure's are not IMO.

Hey, jjmai you never said if your problem was getting taken care of or what. If you don't want to sell them and the warranty doesn't cover it I have an extra headband for ya.

Do you guys seriously think that a 13 year old is going to enjoy the Shure SRH840's???   I'm almost 40 and I find them boring as hell.

    JVC HA RX700 LOW BASS

Quote:   I disagree - I think they are plenty boomy and mine are fully modded. Either way, the bass was always flabby on these things.     Try putting a thin piece of felt behind the drivers to dampen them.

CANNOT Decide On A Cheap, Good SQ Headphone...

Why not just get something fun and a little less refined for now and get the nicer stuff when you can more easily afford it?   My vote goes to the Coby CV-185's... $10 Fun, punchy bass and should suit your musical tastes just fine.      See ljokerl's review in his shootout. Review #...

I haven't tried them with movies but if you want bass IMPACT and SLAM then the Auvio Retro's are hard to beat.     If you're looking for bass extension then the Philips SHP2500 reach pretty damn deep for a pittance.

lol I just thought - "Hey, I'll just send him a pair if he can't get them at Mat." Then I remembered I did a search for them and Mat Electronics is the only place I could find that sells them.   Oh well, hopefully they come back up. I really like them.

It's a glitch in the site. I tried it on some other phones and got the same results. I'm sure they'll have it up soon enough. You really ought to try them out. They are definitely contenders for the Flats and the Coby's.
