Hello, can a handphone jack drive the maestro SE? Or it minimally needs a DAC?

Hi, Anyone has tried both the Zeppelin air and aktimate mini side by side? I wasn't able to do it. Currently the Zeppelin air is about $50 cheaper in my country. That's why I'm comparing the 2. So which speakers do you guys think is better? Thanks.
