I highly suggest reading the construction guild, and all the edits along with with the current guide.   Try investing in building a better PSU rather then a simple LM3xx bipolar supply, which allows it to be up and above the commercial counterparts. Or you could build it for the sake of DIY...

Any suggestion on where else to look? I'm contemplating making my own professional board, but I rather use something that was tested in the past and has a 100% track recorded.
