Are you sure it's the cable somehow producing extra bass on its own and not differing cable impedances between this cable and another particular cable affecting the bass of a particular IEM/headphone due to how impedance affects sensitivity? I just don't want you to unintentionally mislead...

I had those pads. Wasn't a huge difference in my opinion. I ultimately preferred the original velour pads due to comfort. I also preferred the original amp to whatever I had at the time, either a Stax or Mjolnir. I think it was due to the higher bias voltage on the original amp.
