Very cool review, nicely written. I found myself chuckling a bit at the "fantastic price" line. Worth it, of course. I think when I'm spending 1k on an IEM, dollar value has gone out the window.

If prices were just determined by materials and production cost, things would be a lot cheaper. There's recouping of research and development, marketing, good ol' profit to consider. Sure there are diminishing returns on investment the higher you go up the price ladder, but eh..that's consumer...

Whoops. I reached in the package and discovered that I did get a free extra gift: a pair of SX31's. That ain't shabby.

  First of two just arrived. silver M9P, no "extra gift". This one will be a random gift to a friend who has an iPhone and uses the stock buds. Giving people unexpected gifts for the heck of it is kinda fun. Spread some good will. 

My ears are the models by which all human ears are judged. I kid. I can see how the distributed pressure would be a good thing. By casual I just meant as opposed to professional usage. I know that personal music enjoyment is a serious affair. Maybe I'll give em another shot one of these days.
