    Introducing the LCD-i3

UAPP (I think Neutron Olayer as well) unlike many other music apps, uses it's own custom audio driver instead of the stock Android audio dirver. This is a benefit because the native Android audio driver resamples everthing to 48000, and for files thats is not natively 48000, this process of...

    Introducing the LCD-i3

The Angry Thunder God you are hearing happens when you plug un the Cipher cable and Android asks you if you want to launch UAPP. UAPP's USB driver doesn't seem to work properly with the Cipher, so next time pick now when you plug it in to use Android's native driver, then launch UAPP after to...

    [FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit

You probably need to turn off "Charge" in the FiiO app (FiiO added controls for their Bluetooth products in their music app). Some phones do not like large power draw from USB attached devices, which is why it recognizes the Q5s then kicks it off.

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

What are the sound and power differences between the Bluetooth Cipher and Cipher v2?

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

@KMann, you had mentioned before that one of the main differences between Cipher v1 and v2 is that the v2 has a balanced topology, providing more juice than the v1. What about the Bluetooth Cipher cable? is it more like the v1 or v2 in terms of power output, and what about the sound signature?

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

Very rarely do I find it too hot and overheat, but I do have it in a Dignis case so it may not be as noticeable. However if you do find the device getting warmer than usual, my experiences is usually something else running in the background. It does get warm sometimes when it's charging and...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

BTW, I've noticed for a long time since owning the DP-X1 that having Balanced/ACG on will eat more battery when not in use, and I confirmed this with the AccuBattery app. I have uninstalled or disabled many of the native Google apps as well as any app that I would not use on this player, and...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

Also for those wondering about whether the balanced or ACG works with 3rd party apps, it does. Balance mode and ACG does have sound improvement over the 3.5mm even with third party apps. Now whether or not the dual dac or the Sabre is used at all I'm not sure, but the balanced amp is definitely...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

For those still wondering about the difference between the X1/X1A/300R, I spoke to the ONKYO rep when I visited their booth during CanJam.   While at their booth, I saw the X1A and the 300R on display along with the smaller players. I then asked the rep about the differences in the players...

    Pioneer XDP-300R | Twin DAC ES9018K2M | Balanced Out | Android | MQA | 2x MicroSD | WiFi | AptX

That's rough, especially sending it back to Japan. I've had my DP-X1 replaced by ONKYO twice before for the 3.5mm jack getting too loose to hold the jacks. Both times it was actually a painless experience (Only possible IF purchased though a authorized US distributor though). When I contacted...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

Yes, pay attention to this. I had Angie and it's rated at 17ohms, but I always found it's sound lacking a good amount in the higher region, and even more so when using balanced. I then saw an impedance graph someone posted in the Angie and it all made sense. The Angie apparently...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

All this does is it will uninstall the Music app updates that you installed from the Google Play Store, it will go back to the original 1.xx version that came out of the box. No worries.

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

The way USB works with the Onkyo is when you plug an external USB DAC, the Onkyo Music App will ask you (the pop-up that you mentioned) for usage. This will give the Music app EXCLUSIVE use of the USB DAC, it will need to as the Music app uses Onkyo's on driver. This means that...

    ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this already... Seeing that you are from Italy, your unit probably has the volume cap that artificially lowers max output like all Euro units. To get around this, Onkyo has a variable line-out mode in settings that will restore the max output of other regions.
