Loving the Westone's but I do find the sound pretty muffled with the comply's. Am I doing it wrong? I roll up the foam and hold it a few seconds in my ear, is there a way to brighten them up a little (could it be that the size is too small?) or is that the case with all comply's?

I had two pairs of Shure E2C's whose cables have resulted in exposed wiring over time. I think it must be the Canadian winter. Would you think that I could be lucky with the Custom 3's?

I have the RE2's and was slightly disappointed. I read so many great reviews but the reviews were noting that they're great FOR THE PRICE. RE2's sound is extremely thin, bass is lacking and the build quality of the buds and the cords are subpar at best.

What about if I use the included foams? Usually foams tend to be a notch better than silicon/rubber tips? Are the PFE's with the comply's significantly better with isolation if i'm using the foams for both?

With regards to this specific comparison: Are the IE7's really that bad on isolation? I saw someone describe them as "open", does that mean they wont work well on an airplane and does that mean people will hear your music in a library? These are the two big contenders for me right now and...

Just read a few write-ups about the Klipsch Custom 3's. Why is there not more acclaim for them? They're on sale right now on amazon but I'm a bit worried as I don't see it mentioned in too many threads currently? Something wrong with them? Is the cable that bad?
