Astell&Kern AK380
It is still a great sounding dap and I have the CU and amp that I use with my Roxannes, D7000, and LCD. I say if you have a higher end set of iems or headphones go for it. Otherwise it’s a bit of overkill.- KimChee

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
I’ve got the Roxanne paired with my Copper AK380 and Copper amp and it is audio nirvana. I’m also using the Plussound Audio X8 Gold/Silver Cable. I’ve had the custom Roxanne for about 5 years now and hope it lasts...- KimChee

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
The $50+ releases of CCA and KZ are good enough even when paired with lower sources like the Walnut or Zishan for me. So much so I'm considering getting rid of a lot of my TOTL gear. My $50 KZ7 sound better than the older TOTL universals in th $300-400+ range from yester year about 5-10 years...- KimChee

I was about to say Conply tips or Shure Olives...haven’t really used tips in a long time because of the customs, but Complys or Olives worked great on the TF10 before I made it a custom...- KimChee

New- Zishan Z1 DSD player thread
I have a couple other pages bookmarked that have the sound characteristics of other op amps. I used to switch them in the Matrix M Stage, Objective 2, Little Dot 1+ -IV, Lehman Black Cube, etc and it was pretty fun... Lot of fakes on Ebay, especially the higher end Muses stuff...so roll of...- KimChee

I've taken the ZS7 on a plane and it did really well, good isolation and the extra bass helped keep out the airplane noise. I think the CA4 would be a good travel IEM-it's got a good amount of bass and if something happened to it it wouldn't be a huge loss...- KimChee

The volume steps up or down 2 bars on the iPhone volume control. So far I’ve been listening to max volume for jamming out for a workout, or one or two steps down and it has been ok for me. If I don’t like it I just manually changed volume on the phone...- KimChee
