    yes i am normally extremely impatient, there is just so much knowledge and a great community here, it is hard not to get stuck in pre buying analysis mode. and yeah it does appear as though the ef2 is indeed a hybrid.

    yeah i am definately going the dedicated amp route. i was thinking about going with the little dot mkIII. that would be a pretty sufficient amp for any of these phones in a moderate price range, no? i am curious to try out a tube amp as well.
