I haven't heard them myself yet but, I have yet to hear anything negative about the Astrotec M90's and have a pair arriving Friday for myself. Supposedly has punchy bass, and great balance overall. Not a "bass monster" but, I get the impression they fit your criteria well.

I could hear a popping sound but, it was organic sounding rather than mechanical.

It's actually somewhat random. The most noticible time I can remember is I was just walking to go get water in the gym and the cord moved across my shorts. The MP3 player I'm using is my former phone the Samsung Captivate. Usually there is plenty of room in my pocket as my gym clothes are...

Can anyone comment on the durability of these? Particularly people who are in positions to sweat a lot while using them? Ex: Gym usage.

I'm probably going to try to upgrade to something a little more sports friendly. And yeah, I'm referring to the IEM style headphones. I think an over all quality upgrade would be nice ata this point either way.

So, now that I've  realized I can't get the Dn-18's the question is what's the next best alternative?

I know it's a weird question but, the main reason I'm asking is because I notice it mostly when walking around the gym and the cord happens to move across my leg or something.  So, better just go with the assumption they are reaching EoL as that makes more sense.

I live in the USA. I guess that means I should contemplate another set. 

I suppose I'll sleep on it since amazon tells me they won't s hit me DN-18's.

Would the Klipsch S4 offer similar quality/sound/comfort? Asking because I see them like half off and they are usually the same price. I'm ok with a little more clarity but, I really don't want to need another set in a year or two, especially if I'm paying over $40. I want something that will...

How is the clarity/comfort on the Dunu N18 in your opinion?   I've read one thing mentioning they lack clarity and it just occurred to me to ask about comfort as I've had a bad set or two in the past.
