    CX-300 problems

I bought it from a vendor who's "fulfilled by Amazon." I left a negative feedback and the vendor offered to send a replacement. Now I feel kinda bad... maybe I should've contact them directly first...

    CX-300 problems

I'm on a low budget so I bought some cheap Sennheiser CX300-B, but i'm trying them out right now and there seems to be some problems...   The left side seems "lacking" compared to the right... I tested the earphones with a solid sine oscillator at 50~100Hz, panned completely to one side then...

Please recommend a decent and inexpensive in-ear

Thanks for all of the responses so far. I'll look up the ones mentioned and do some research tonight

Please recommend a decent and inexpensive in-ear

I think I'd like a pair that has a pretty flat response. I really like to listen to music as close to the original as possible.

Please recommend a decent and inexpensive in-ear

My CX300's just broke and I need a new cheap pair of IEM's... Can somebody recommend some decent sounding ones that are also pretty cheap (preferably $50 or less, but even up to $100)? Thanks in advance

    FL studio noise

@leeperry: yeah, i'm sure that there's no inputs whatsoever. i've also tried disabling the wifi. still no effect. as i've said, from the rhythm of the noise, i am pretty sure that it is either my hard-drive or cpu... not sure how those could get crossed up with my audio output... @tricky...

    FL studio noise

okay, I just tried what you recommended, and I think the issue lies elsewhere. there's no difference with the power cable unplugged. the noise I'm hearing is a mid-pitched droning "buzz" also, when I run the cd-drive, electrical whirring noises could be heard. thanks for all of your comments...

    FL studio noise

Thanks for all the input! @Arctia, no and i'm pretty sure the noise is generated by the hardware running @komi nope, i don't have a mic @leeperry what do you mean by the ground of the plug? do you mean that the power source is the problem? i'm pretty sure it's the harddrive or cpu...

    FL studio noise

Hi, tricky Thanks for responding! I tried loading an empty FLS project, and the soft screeching noise is gone (the one that sounds kinda like a cassette tape being spun). Soft ambient static is still there. I think it's caused by the extra cpu usage caused by running FLS. I usually work with...

    FL studio noise

Hey guys. These issues have probably been addressed before, but I'm having a hard time finding the topics with the search function, so I thought I might as well ask them. First of all, novice question, whenever I plug my headphones into my computer, I hear a lot of static noise from the...

    ATH-M50 bass response?

peli_kan, much appreciation for those graphs! It's nice to have some visual representation of what is being experienced. Graphicism, I'm not familiar with the effects and the implications of using an amp. My impression was that amps merely increased the output of the signal without bias...

    ATH-M50 bass response?

Graphicism, you caught me. I'm listening to the m50's unamped, straight out of a computer jack. In my defense, the many posts and reviews I've read have all given me the impression that m50's perform well even without amplification (especially with an impedance of 38 ohms). Now, I have to admit...

    ATH-M50 bass response?

Well I've been working around with parametric EQ's and frequency monitors for a while (I do composing on software sequencer), and I've noticed that the "low" bass is generally in the range of 20 to 100 Hz. "High" bass, or what I think of as instrumental bass, is generally in the range of 120 to...

    ATH-M50 bass response?

On the contrary, since I've been on the move for the past 4 years of my life, I've been restricted to using a pair of CX300's mostly. Regarding the volume, I do turn it up quite a bit when I listen to trance, and I have read that at high volumes, low and high frequencies become more pronounced...

    ATH-M50 bass response?

I just got my pair of ath-m50's this week. From what I've read, they have an arguably flat response, which is exactly what I need for mixing. Now here's the thing... I've also read that they have a slightly exaggerated bass, which I prefer, but has so far proven to be false. In fact, quite the...
