just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

wow I thought the DT 880 was cheaper. $350 on official site is it safe to buy used on Amazon? can find it for over 100 bucks cheaper on there if Amazon is listed on Beyerdynamic's site, and the used product says "fulfilled by Amazon", then it's safe, right?

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

my budget is around 250, preferably sub 200 what does the ATH M50 do better than the Beyerdynamics? if the dt770 or dt880 has a bigger soundstage and more neutral sound than ATH m50, but still with some bump, I'll be happy

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

My ATH M50 sounds better than it ever has with this DAC. very happy with it I guess I should've mentioned I would like to move on to a more neutral sounding phone..something more balanced overall but still bumps in the low end when turned up loud the Beyerdynamic DT line seems like the next...

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

if it drives 250 fine then why get the 32 or 80? I'm actually considering the DT 880 250 ohm. I crank my music up pretty loud, will the e07k get the job done? for reference, using my ATH M50 I have my e07k set to 6db at 45 volume

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

I'm mostly wondering how many ohms is too much for the Andes? would 80 ohms or 250 ohms be better for this particular DAC/amp?

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

ATH M50 has good bass but I was just wondering if there is a better pair of phones that can benefit more from the Andes I know the ATH M50 is easy to drive which is why I'm looking for a little step up

just received the fiio Andes e07k from a friend. looking for headphones to pair with it

right now I'm just using a stock HP pavillion laptop (which doesn't matter because of the dac, right?) I also have the ATH M50 I mostly listen to hip hop so a good bass impact is nice. the amp will help with this, right? my budget is $150 I've heard good things about Beyerdynamic dt770. not sure...

looking for my next step after ATH-M50

looking for my next step after ATH-M50

they will be used at home only. and only with my ipad 2 I don't need sound isolation at all now that I think about it, a bigger soundstage than the ATH M50 would be great

ATH-M50. wow, what a let down so far.

I listen to my music at no less than 320kbps. usually FLAC or CD. it's definitely the headphones. SO FRUSTRATING

ATH-M50. wow, what a let down so far.

well now the M-Audio Q40 and ATH-M50 have both failed me. what's next for a bassy hip-hop lover like myself?

ATH-M50. wow, what a let down so far.

these things are brand new from Amazon, and already I hear rattling in the right ear from low frequencies. anyone else experience this? such an extreme disappointment and yes, I've tried multiple sources screw you, Audio Technica. thanks for nothing

    Audiophile quality hip-hop....

I think 2001 by Dr. Dre is the best produced and best sounding hip-hop album I've heard. Also, Moment of Truth by Gang Starr, Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg, Mecca & The Soul Brother by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, The Blueprint by Jay-Z, Madvillainy by Madvillain....I could go on and on.

    Reference tracks to test bass?

The whole 2001 album by Dr. Dre.

Can someone link me to some equipment that will help with my problem?

So I'm still kinda confused. Why do some insist I need an amp if I can just use RCA->female 3.5mm? That seems like a much cheaper choice. I'm pretty sure I could set my video to HDMI and my audio to scart.

I need recommendations for a friend.

He can't spend more than $50. He wants a pair of in-ears for use with his iPod, un-amped. He mostly listens to hip-hop, so good bass would be nice. Thanks in advance.
