Headphone for big ears
Hi, I've been rocking my Sennheiser HD25-II for 12 years now, and it's time for something more comfortable and better sounding. What I'm looking for is: - Over-ear (I have big ears ) - Open back - Easy driveable (I don't intend on purchasing an amp) - Comfortable - Bassy sound Bonus points...- -Daan-

HFI 680 vs HD25-II
Thank you for the tips :), and yes they have to be portable..but I found the ultrasone to be pretty portable. Last question: which one of these 2 headphones can be 'upgraded' more (usage of a dac, amp, other cables,..), and will improve in sq more? greets- -Daan-

HFI 680 vs HD25-II
Hi, Title says it all actually, currently I'm using a hd25-II (macbook pro, sony walkman) but I stumbled upon this ultrasone headphone in the store... I must say I liked the sound of the hfi 680 but they're like 200 € here..:( Is it worth the money changing to this hp? And...- -Daan-

Very neutral cans for mixing for a friend
I'm not sure that the hd25-II would be a good option. I don't have much experience with headphones, but I own the hd25 and I don't think it's that neutral sounding. I like them, and I also like a warm, slightly bassy sound so...you get my point- -Daan-

Sennheiser HD25 + nuforce udac
Well it actually doesn't have to be portable.. But what you're saying is that it would be better to buy an amp and a dac seperately? Greets Daan EDIT: Does anybody have other dac/amp recommendations for my senn hd25 besides nuforce udac? Max € 150.- -Daan-

Sennheiser HD25 + nuforce udac
Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my crappy audio setup. So I'm considering buying a nuforce udac I can use with my senn hd 25-1 ii, and my laptop as source. Some questions: - Besides delivering a cleaner sound than my laptop onboard audio , will this improve the sound? This thing has a...- -Daan-

Laptop audio upgrade
Hi, Thx for your replys. @Phelonious Ponk & @germanium:Well the buzzing etc is what irritates me the most, but it also has an overall muffled and dark sound in comparison with e.g.the onboard audio of a macbook. @Armaegis: Why do dacs like total bithead and iBasso (I suppose these...- -Daan-

Laptop audio upgrade
Hi, What is the next step I should take in improving sq on my laptop. I have a sennheiser HD25-II already (step 1 ), but I notice that sq on my laptop (conexant audio onboard crap) is really terrible. I can hear my cpu buzz and click...My walkman sounds much better btw. So my next step...- -Daan-

HD 25-1 II, how does it sound unamped?
Hi, thx for the replys. I bought them, and you guys were right, it has a nice bass straight out of my walkman, better than the px100. Comfort could be a problem, but I can always buy some velour pads when I have some money left Btw, how long do these take to burn-in, and what sound...- -Daan-

HD 25-1 II, how does it sound unamped?
Hi, Before I buy these cans I would like to know how these sound unamped. I like a warm sound, will I be disappointed by the bass on these cans? (Coming from a senn px100). Greets Daan Btw: I'm going to buy the "special edition", does this mean I get extra pads?- -Daan-

All-around solution for $200-250
Hmm, I think that the ESW is a bit fragile for me, I would constantly check it for scratches, and I really need a circumaural model because I have sweaty ears But how about the M-50? Fwir they will sound a bit too neutral for me but is there a (cheap) amp I can use with it to give it a...- -Daan-
