Grado SR-60i good PX100 replacement for street/gym use with ipod?
My experience is from an SR225, but the basic construction is nearly the same. I wouldn't use them as a gym headphone for sure. While the sound is great, I don't think they would hold up to that kind of use. Those pads will act like a sponge for sweat, too! Also, there is NO isolation at all. If...- blackwave

Custom remold vs. custom tips
It's a basic question, really. Surely the answer is on this forum somewhere, but I can't seem to dig it up. Aside from coolness factor and a smaller package, what's the difference in SQ between these modifications? I'm thinking of getting one or the other just because I can't get a good seal...- blackwave

Custom Triple.fi 10 Pro & Custom Shure SE530
I don't think it ever got answered, so I want to ask what another poster also asked.. with an extra driver, is it necessary to use an amp? I don't use one now with my stock TF10s and I don't particularly want to carry one around. Also, does anyone know the turnaround times for UM and Null...- blackwave

Bright sounding headphones wanted.
I had some Grado SR225s and they were very crisp and bright. I loved them! Unfortunately I didn't use them as often as I'd like because I needed something for on-the-go. You can find them used for around $150. They also have a pretty long cord. *EDIT* I should mention that these aren't...- blackwave

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
This is the first time I've browsed this thread and WOW.. I feel like I'm in the stoneage after reading the posts. I have three cameras.. one made in 1982, one made in 1969, and one made in 1939. I use three basic functions on all of them.. focus, aperture, shutter speed. They make me happy...- blackwave

TF10 Custom tips?
Oh, I was under the impression (or assumption I guess) that it would be much more expensive. What's the perk for having it remolded? Sorry if that's a newbie question! They're cool, yeah, but then what? Any resale value is shot as well, right?- blackwave

TF10 Custom tips?
I saw that custom remold thread. I'm a little hesitant about replacing the manufacturer's housing, probably for no good reason. I guess from my perspective I'm just trying to improve the fit and the custom tip works to that end. I can understand the allure, though!- blackwave

TF10 Custom tips?
I've officially diagnosed myself as having weird ear canals. I could never get a good fit or seal with any tips on my RE2s and now I'm having trouble with my new (to me) Triple.fi 10 pros. I tried comply tips but I really don't like how it throws a wet blanket over the highs (I like a crisp...- blackwave

Switching from Grado SR225's to an IEM.. help!
Thanks for the tip, Dobber. I'll definitely check them out. I recently moved up north to Liberty (gag.) I moved from OP and was downtown before that. Wow, I get around lately! I bought the Grado's from Primus Audio Pleasure downtown by the way. Know of any other good shops around?- blackwave

Switching from Grado SR225's to an IEM.. help!
Thanks for the replies! I was reading about those Phonak ones earlier and the sound pretty good considering the price. I've also considered the leap to the Senn IE8's, but only if I could find them used. You've given me some other good leads but hopefully I won't spend toooo much time reading...- blackwave

Switching from Grado SR225's to an IEM.. help!
After much reading and touring my city listening to different full-sized headphones I ended up with a pair of Grado SR225's to play directly off my Ipod classic. I fell in love with the clarity of the Grado's and for unamped full-sized headphones they beat the pants off anything else I...- blackwave
