I am getting a set of HD555's and if I don't buy the panel for my X-Fi I am gonna have to buy a adapter to hook it and my speakers up at the same time. Or can one of the ports be switched between headphones,mic,ect like Santa Cruz does? I'd hate to give $50(off someone) for a panel if its not...

Hows the HD485's compare to the HD555's? Also I have HD497's would the hHD485's be a downgrade?

I went ahead and got some 497's used for $32 shipped. I will just put the HD555's on my next upgrade list.

I can get the HD497's now or wait and get the HD555's. What I am wondering is, is there a huge difference with the sound on the HD555's over the HD497's? If I did get the HD497's now I plan on getting the HD555's late summer when I should have more funds. Thx.

Yeah I was looking to buy. Someone offered me a set for $35 shipped. Was looking to get something better than these KSC35's and am wondering if maybe I should skip and save for the HD555's. Are the Sennheiser EH350 the 497 replacements?

Well I know the HD555's would be a good upgrade. Should I just save up and try and get them? But I would really like something better now. If I save for the HD555's it could take a few weeks or a month(maybe longer).
