AMP for 500$ PLEASE HELP
For the HD600 a nice DIY option will be either the M3 or CKKIII. Both have very good value for money ratio tough it may take a little whild to find one in the boards.- eliziz

Thanks for all those mini comparisons (any I hope you keep it up) though i'm finding it so strange reading this thread. The general opinion online is that beta 22 and HD800 are a divine combination and that the beta22 is a reference quality amp and a sure beng-for-buck at arround 1000$. Then...- eliziz

Maybe a little more information would help. I'm in the process of construction of Beta -22 in conjunction with the LCD2. Gamma 2 will be used as a source. Right now I feel he will be by far the weak link using it's USB. A situation I want to avoid. thoughts?- eliziz

well earlier today got rhe chance to compare the 900 pro, rs1, md5000, w5000 and my own ad700. all of those were connected to a stello da100/hp100 combo. from all this after a good and long listen i realized my ad700 could stand up to any of these as long as classical music is playing. all in...- eliziz

wow! so meny people like the rs-1? as much as i undertstand they are somewhat hard to find. so the list of options comes up to: RS-1 dt880/600 hd600 pro 900 d5000 which of these can cope well with classical music that seemed to be left out a little. that and zeppelin are the first...- eliziz

zeppelin is my favorit, then floyd/vivaldi, then metallica/hendrix and some soft rock. in that order. i will try to go listen to the PRO 900/d5000 that have the same owner. and a pair of w5000. btw so far from what i saw here, did't come across to meny good reviews compared to the d5000 and...- eliziz
