Thanks for your input! I heard the HE-1000 (don't remember if it was the V2 or SE) but that was the impression I got. I also found it did well for cinematic/soundtrack kind of music but wasn't as engaging for rock and metal. Not sure about other genres.

Ive had mine since it first came out. I've had to fix it twice in about 7, 8 years. One piece fell off few years ago, had to remove the ear cup to reattach it. And this time the ear cup actually fell off.

I still think the Mahogany are my favourite headphones that I own. Granted, other than the B&W Px7 S2 Bluetooth headphones, I haven't actually bought headphones in a long time (except the beyerdynamic Dt880 600ohms edition which I ended up selling not long after I bought them)

Great price for an excellent headphone! I'm using them as we speak as I do stuff around the house! Very comfortable, great anc when needed and most importantly they sound very good!!

The Thx00 or Denon D2000. Both have an excellent sound signature and go quite deep

I really wish B&W would make another wired headphone. The px7 s2 is a great Bluetooth headphone. I regret selling my wired P7 despite being on-ear which I don't like. I'd love to see what they can do now

My D2000 headband is also flaking really bad. And one ear cup has detached haha.
