LME49860 class A bias with cascode SMD JFETs

Hi, I'm designing an LME49860 based linestage which I'd like to biased in to class A. I think I'll use the cascode JFET method, ala the PPA. I just want to be sure I've selected the right transistors for Q1 and Q2. I want to use SMD components, I've read Tangents documentation and think...

    Anyone tried the LM4562 yet?

I searched and found nothing! National is really talking it up: http://www.national.com/pf/LM/LM4562.html Easily drives 600 loads Optimized for superior audio signal fidelity Output short circuit protection PSRR and CMRR exceed 120dB (typ) THD+N of 0.00003% I'm waiting for mine to...

opamp rolling: Single Supply > Dual Supply with TLE2426??

I am wanting to swap the dual opamps in my Nakamichi DAC (NEC 4572's) which are single supply for OPA2132s which are dual supply opamps and I was wondering if I could do it as pictured with a TLE2426......I have tried to work this out in my head but the different grounds confuses my somewhat...

    Can I use a J505 for class A bias?

Yes, I have read http://tangentsoft.net/audio/opamp-bias.html and it was most helpfull and it even mentions the J500's which is the only thing I can find resembling a CRD available in NZ (from RS components). Its part number is 283-479 and you can search for it here...

Is this a silmic cap or not?

I got a bunch of caps all together, some silmic and some marked "AWF" that look just like silmic. Anyway, I got them all mixed up and cant remember where I got these AWF ones from From looking at Google I think Nichicon make a range of caps called AWF but its all in japanese...

    Simple OPA627+BUF634 Pre-amp

Hi All, I wondered if someone could just give me some advice/improvement about this schematic. I want to make a simple and flexible pre to use with my Gainclone (but not limitted to). The + and - rails will be connected to this PSU and I will use a pot at the input of this design. My...

    I cant hear the difference

I got my chu moy amp going today and I also have a pimeta, both with IC sockets, so I did some tests by swapping out opamps: Chu moy with 2x OPA627BP Chu moy with OPA2777P Pimeta with 2x OPA627BP Pimeta with OPA2777P Pimeta with LM833 I have HD202's, not the best I know. I spent...

Hows this for a headphone amp PSU?

Just wondereing if you guys think this would be a good PSU for opamps (by good I mean compared to say a STEPS and TLE splitter) ? It uses generic 7915/7985 or LM320T-15 fixed +/-15V regulators, I am just not sure how noisy they are.

    PIMETA problem

Hi, I was inspired by all the cool pics of DIY amps on these forums so I decided to have a go at making a PIMETA. After sorting out interference and PSU noise (now using batteries) I now have slight distortion in mid-high sounds (but bass is fine) I am using the standard plans with no mods...
