Nice cans. I tried a pair of the PS3000's at a meet, and they were awesome. Tons of bass from the enclosure and super comfy.- yblocgerg

cheap skiing iem....
OP: Wind is an issue if you ski fast. I used some ksc-75's and could hear them...kinda. I'm ski bumming in vermont right now and gave my brother my ksc's so he wouldn't use ibuds, so I'm also considering some IEM's. This is probably the only way to listen to music and ski without using those...- yblocgerg

Stereo Channel Balance in DT770/80 Pro
Several months ago i noticed a db imbalance on my 770/80's. Shortly after the quieter side driver went out on me, called beyer, had them send me 1 new driver. Installed it, now they are fine. Perhaps there are a few drivers that just fail after a while?- yblocgerg

Curse you Monarch Computer!!!
I've used Monarch and don't harbor any ill will against them.... .....but it appears you purchased an OEM harddrive, which is supposed to come in anti-static+bubblewrap as it is NOT packaged in a retail box. Also...since it is not a retail drive, you will have to RMA through WD directly. You...- yblocgerg

Any FPS Gamer switch to LCD?
My input is different. I had a 19" CRT for most of my life, then decided to upgrade to a 20.1" widescreen Dell LCD. After the initall oohs and ahhs, I rememered how much nicer it was to play quake2/3, cs:s at >100fps and actually having the frames drawn. Long story short....LCD got pawned off...- yblocgerg

Boston/N.E. Fall Meet Impressions
I had a great time at the meet guys, glad I could meet some other people who enjoy good headphones as much as myself. I must say I was blown away by one of the custom cans. Salt Peanuts - you should have left for a while so I could have 'made off' with your PS3000's- yblocgerg

I use 770's, and can confirm that ~3 o'clock is about right for LOUD volumes. Usually around 1-2 for me.- yblocgerg

What is Your Headphone Spending to Head-Fi Posts Ratio?
~$7.50/post including amp purchase. This sure is an expensive forum, not as bad as my AVSForum ratio, which is like $400/post.- yblocgerg

Male pattern baldness thread...
Almost 22, thinning is occuring. It's really quite depressing, but not noticible to outside viewers yet. Hopefully its just readjusting itself and will not completely fall out.- yblocgerg
