My Stax Omega II system just arrived!!
I got the CEC CD3300 yesterday and the Stax today during lunch time!! Here is a picture of my new rig : I had not much time to listen to them but I already like the sound. I found them much more heavy than the SR-404!! I am a happy camper- Petyot

I think my journey came to an end
My personal journey in this wonderful world of headphones and audio gear started exactly when I registered on this forum back in april 2007. Before that I was the proud owner of a SanDisk (256 Mo) and a pair of "Air Transat" headphone... (yes, you read it right... Air Transat headphone!). But...- Petyot

Cambridge, Nad or Marantz ?
I want to change my source (or transport). I will use it like this : CD player --> coax cable --> CEC DA53 --> XLR cables --> SRS-4040 (and soon Omega II) At this time, my budget is limited (the Omega did a big hole in my wallet) so don't tell me that Arcam, Linn or Krell is much better...- Petyot

For those of you who have ordered from him, what was your experience with custom duties (specially if you are in Canada)...- Petyot

Sonic signature coming from CD player or DAC ?
Maybe it is a dumb question, but I am going to ask it anyway... If my setup looks like that : Oppo 970 >> spdif >> DAC (lets say CEC DA53) >> (whatever comes after...) Is it the DAC or the CD player that gives the sonic flavor to this setup ? If it's the DAC, I guess that changing...- Petyot

I think that I prefer my SR60 to my recently acquired SR225 (and yes, they are completely burned-in)... Am I normal ? Are there others like me around here ? I have my SR60 since a few weeks and the SR225 only since a few days, so do you think that my impression could change with time ...- Petyot

Diyeden SVDAC05 or Diyeden MUSILAND ??
Hi, Both can be found there http://www.pacificvalve.us/DIYEDENGallery.html What are the differences ? Is the SVDAC05 a cheaper version of the Musiland ? Both seems to run with the Cirrus Logic CS4398, so is there any reason for them to sound differently ? Thanks for your help. Pierre- Petyot
