I dropped my Fiio Q1 portable amp/dac yesterday, and it was only outputting sound in the left channel. I tried a different cable, tried using both the amp and dac, and still left channel. I decided it was just the headphone plug and I'd fix it later. I also tried with my earbuds, same problem...

Currently been owning the HD598s for a year - love them. I've always been looking for the perfect set of headphones for me and now it seems I can afford them. I've read up on the HD 600s, 650s, 700s, and 800s. The HD 600s and 650s look nice but I'm sure that there are better for my price range...

I really hope this is the right subforum!! I currently have a ****ty Fiio E6 paired with HD598s which themselves dont need a good amp but my next headphone upgrade is for sure HD650. I'm wondering whether the Fiio A5 will make a big enough change to my headphones or if I should buy something...

So this started about 2 days ago, and it would only come through the left sides, but I'd be able to turn the smaller cable's ends and get it working through both. However now, I have to turn the cables ends to an exact location and keep it there (which is nearly impossible) to get both sides...
