I've recently been wondering if it's better for my iPod's battery life (longevity, not usability time) to operate it from external power sources when possible or to simply recharge it periodically. Or does it matter? The place in question for me the most is in my car, where I have the option...

Recently re-discovered these - I had them way back in the day. They're in mint condition, and sound (to me) pretty good. I searched for any discussion on them here and found only a couple references. So, what I'm asking is if anyon can compare them to some of the phones that get mentioned...

I've goofed. I was cleaning my new UM2s and pushed too hard against the filter, popping it into the headpiece (more accurately, into the sound tube - it's still there, right next to the silver tip). I'm extremely mad at myself...I didn't really realize there was a filter in there, much less that...
