Just curious if headphones should be plugged in correctly to fix the polarity of the sound? eg negative and postitive wiring. I have a pair of senn hd25s and as the cable can be removed and flipped around, im not sure if this will effect the sound?

just wondering if i can revive my old senn px200 headphones they have broken right down where the cable meets the jack ive cut the wire and each wire has 2 copper like cables in it how hard would this be to fixed yourself if i was to get a stereo plug?

Just wondering how possible it will be in trying to change grado phones from open to a closed sealed headphone? i think the grado's are what im looking for although id prefer them to be closed. why dont they sell closed headphones, that are similar price to the sr60 or 80s? cheers L
