    Looking to upgrade from my MRD-V6. What are your best suggestions?

    Is this fixable?

    I bought these MDR-V6s ~5-6 years ago. They have been great headphones, but the cord has deteriorated away. I've wrapped it in paper and then electrical tape, but I am hoping there may be a more permanent solution or easy way to replace the cable.   Any suggestions?
