Am I right in assuming BOSE is not a good brand for portable audio?

It seems people around me that don't look into audio equip at all always use BOSE as their example of big brand audio. My usual response is, "BOSE? No, they're making you pay a lot more for a lot less." Am I wrong? Specifically in headphones and IEMs?

    Best Birthday Gift < ~$130? (Shure SE110's?)

I've got to get a good recommendation for my sister's birthday here. She needs some comfortable, good sounding phones, and I'm suggesting IEMs even though she's never had some before. She works in a dental lab and wants to shut out the noise. Criteria: 1. Shuts out the noise 2. Will be used...

Brand new TripleFi10 Case - all shiny and half hour old - gets a big DENT in the face from my iPod!

I literally just opened the package, full of excitement to check out my new $300 phones I've been reading about for months. I carefully breathed on the shiny UE case, rubbed it to a nice shine, and set it on my car seat to take to the gym. Then I took my little iPod nano out of my pocket, gave a...

Does iTunes sync with anything besides iPods? (what about the Sansa Clip?)

I've got my music organized through iTunes and I've been pretty happy with that. I now use only iPods, will be getting an iPhone, but I just barely decided on getting a Sansa Clip because I heard the sound quality was good. So, I'm wondering about iTunes and my Sansa Clip.

Triple.fi 10's cord - do you just stuff it in its case? Doesn't it get tangled?

I'm looking at the little questions trying to decide betwn TF10's and SE530's. I don't like having my cords always tangled up. I noticed the 530's have a zipper case that you'd wind the cord around. What does the TF10 have though? It looks like you just stuff it in its case.

What to upgrade to from SHURE e2c's? ( IEM for ipod < $200 )

I've been combing through the forums a bit, and man is my head swimming. I loved my Shure e2c's. I like the fuller bass sound (than I was used to) and the clarity. Overall it felt it had a good balance. I also liked the wrap-around the back of the ear style. My Shure's cord died (would...

Got the okay to get some Shure SE310's for my birthday. Good idea?

I'm about to pull the trigger on some Shure SE310's on ebay for around $150, but I'm wondering if that's the best IE phones for me. It's been a while since I've searched the forums, so I'm not as up to date with what's out. My budget would be under $200. I got the e2c's a while ago but the...

Recommend some headphones for me and my coworkers (under $100)

Hi all. I've lurked around here before and bought some Sennheiser 580's a while ago because of it. Now, my coworkers turn to me to suggest what kind of headphones to get people in my office (7 guys). We'll be listening to music while we do our art work possibly all day long. So I'm...
