On the E-MU page for 0404 USB it says: "Premium 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A converters* ... * Macintosh analog operation up to 96kHz and digital operation up to 48kHz only at this time." Does this limit the SQ in practice when running on a Mac? Should not be a limitation unless playing...

What would give me best SQ unamped, the E-MU 0404 USB or the Zero DAC? They seem to be roughly the same price. Lots of more niceties on the E-MU that I might use in the future but I would not like to get a lower SQ for them... I listen to Jazz, Classical and some Pop/Rock, with Sennheiser...
