I agree. Some applications rip perfectly gapless (eg iTunes, foobar) some others don't. Then again some players do gapless perfectly and some don't regardless of the ripping software used. Some players don't offer gapless at all.

Gapless isn't perfect on the m0. There is a slight glitch between tracks and the timing is thrown off slightly but noticeably. My tracks are ripped perfectly gapless by foobar and play fine on my phones and other gapless enabled players. Any chance of a fix?

Not hearing it here. What format are you using? FLACS are perfectly gapless here. There is no gap and there is no glitch.

Yes, gapless still works and no, you don't need playlists. I can only think you haven't tagged your files so M0 doesn't think they belong to the same album.

One observation to make on this mp vs flac thing that seems to be brewing. A lot of the mp3 players seem to do flac gapless without hiccup, mp3 not so much. So if gapless playback is important to you flac is the way to go.

To be honest the faulty gapless on MP3 didn't bother me much. IMO if there is a technical limitation that prevents true gapless on mp3 on M0, I'd rather have a small pause but no cutoff at the end of the file. Sometimes music matters to the last millisecond of the track :-)

Luckily for me I usually listen to my library straight through or on shuffle so gapless isn't really and issue for me. If I was an album listener then I would likely take that into consideration and stay with flac for all my tracks.
