Tbh I don't take many of his videos seriously. Just laughing about them. As for me I liked the sound of Peacock. Only things that made me disappointed were the earcup/yoke and earpad designs. On the other hand egg shaped Hifimans starting from Arya are a lot more comfortable.

The link you provided are the same rings I used. You got to use a bit of pressure. You want to lips to go between the housing and the metal filter. It will work.
