...port full of foam from the retail box to get a handle on that strident treble. V2 of it is a great closed planar waiting to happen. I found P10 lacking in separation/imaging regardless of which tech is inside it, raised subs yes, but little else to it IMO. BL1 subs go down and down with the...

not saying i dont believe ya man, but could still be a planar here r pics of RHA CL2 driver (can see the planar radial coil, RHA legit) i guess the only way to tell for certain would be a driver teardown which would be kinda cool, but it would suk if advertised as planar and not :frowning2:

to be fair, RHA CL2 are planar, and their driver has a small hole in metal plate just like that the click is weird tho edit: liked ur post to make both ur likes and # of posts 60

TONEKING P10 - it's no planar. Speaker, which can be seen in the handset, not at all similar to Planar. I got the headphones today. I was surprised by the click when I inserted the headphones into my ear. Planar does not click. I took off the grid and saw that there was a regular speaker inside.

I just hope they will show more technical details on this iem, Im kinda tempted to buy this one. But I have to see its freq response first, they might post it a couple of weeks later. If this has a similar tuning to Ninetails I might buy it.

Wow I hope it sounds as heavenly as its name LOL. The price is a bit too much to do a blind purchase (considering it is a single DD), so will wait for reviews. Their recent releases, the EA electrostat flagship, P10 and 1Q had not many reviews.

10mm P10 U-shape..less detail and separation than my modified 14mm BL1. Both tested with electronic music, as I think neither are very tonally accurate....but BL1 rocks for my music taste....treble shimmers on BL1 LoL...it really stands apart from BA treble at similar or higher prices....as you...

Any P10-owners here? I just kind of blind purchased them and I would be super interested to hear opinions about them.

+1 to this. Thanks for the P10 review, I'm gonna give it a miss as per your advise. Toneking does quite good tuning but their marketing is not very good I gotta say. They stealth released their recent 1Q, P10 planar, Estat hybrid flagship (Alpha) and 10 BA models without much fanfare, nobody...

I find BL1 better than P10...IMO ....(all comments WRT electronic music...and fed FLAC in Audirvana, balanced after-market pure copper cable from E1DA PDV2). BL1 planar magnetic IEM - excellent imaging, very fast and clean...great mids after damping nozzle, treble dominance removed....nice...

Gear is generally more expensive at launch, yeah it will probably be cheaper a few months down the line. Hot on the heels of releasing their P10 and 1Q (the latter wasn't very well received for initial reviews and I think few folks have tried the former). The drivers they use here in the EA...

I haven't been keeping up with the TFZ stuff but not sure what this B1 is that you're talking about. I have the TFZ Balance 7 and they sound pretty amazing but the left side keeps dying on me and the ergonomics factor is -100.

Yes, it's a case of "you go first" with this one...P10 And yes, generally they need the juice much more than 1/2/3BA hybrids etc...it's more the headroom for very short power draws for sub-bass and complex passages so it does not go flabby/muddy....just loving that speed and cleanliness though...

This is the P10's FR from the AE sellers: Looks quite neutralish but maybe bass north of neutral. I've never owned a planar but I think most of them need amping? Anyway one of the AE shops (AVCKCK) seems to be selling the P10 at $145 now. Most other shops are still selling it at $199 and...

...I have damped them in the nozzles with sponge from the packaging interior, it may be a combo of the planar tech and damping. Wish I picked up P10 planar in recent sales to A|B against B1..... B1 not really getting the exposure it deserved. Some may not like the bass as being too...

Just mentioned in discovery thread that ToneKing P10 is confirmed as a planar magnet unit (by seller), as the description was not too clear in the advert and there was some talk over there it might have been a new hybrid technology.

...side of head...vs all around...unusual... Just wonder if it will be OTT to damp the 3 top ports as well. Seller of my BL1 said the new Toneking P10 has more elevated bass than BL1 in stock form...have to dig for more impressions on T10 10mm planar IEM.. EDIT : I think I'll be an on-going TK...

So, did anyone end up purchasing the new 1Q flagship dynamic or the planar P10 during the 11/11 sales? I was going to purchase both, but ended up getting the TK16s instead because I found a fantastic deal on them for only 230.00 here in the classified section. I'm still very curious about those...

I just spoke to some sellers on AE about the single DD Toneking 1Q. This was discussed via google translate, so I'm not sure if they got my query correctly, but they said it was tuned to be neutralish rather than V shaped. I'll probably be giving it a miss if so, as I'm not really a fan of...
