HEDD Audio HEDDphone TWO - Now Available for Pre-Order with Special Pre-Order Bonus
Surprise - it arrived early! Too early to do anything but a first impressions, so here are some pictures for size comparison. (LCD-2 because I don't want to take the X out of the box right now, but they're the same size) For comfort: The box was surprisingly heavy, but it was all due...- wagninger

HEDD Audio HEDDphone TWO - Now Available for Pre-Order with Special Pre-Order Bonus
The official stance from HEDD is that a cable should not change the sound and they’re not selling or recommending any other than the one it comes with. My background is studio as well, so I’m not too invested in trying different cables for sound purposes.- wagninger

Italy-based head-fier meetup!
Hi folks, Since I recently moved to Italy, I’m eager to get to know some head-fiers in the area. I’m located in Bari, but could come to somewhere like Naples or Rome for sure. If I’m hosting, I’d like to get to 5-10 people so we get a decent variety of gear. Who’s up? Andy- wagninger

Calling all European headfiers!! Interest check for a meet
Definitely interested…. Located in southern Italy, but coming to Germany would not be a problem. Only thing is, I can’t bring much gear then.- wagninger

Yes, wait for the GSE software - not that you’re buying the dual Hypsos only for them to release a streamer and then… a triple Hypsos 😄- wagninger

I have tried it the manual way, with PGGB - takes a while, but you have a file to do A/B comparisons with. I tried it myself with a piece of music that I made myself, because I use streaming for everything else and I thought, I recorded it, I mixed it, if anyone can hear a difference, its me...- wagninger

Thanks, that is also very good to know! But yes, specific hqp settings when using it with the Wandla, which included using PCM, but I’ve deviated from his preferred filters because I found them a bit too detailed and … maybe sterile.- wagninger

If I have understood correctly, you can basically roll back to the other version if you really want to, but I don’t know if there is any chance of getting your money back - they could tie the software to your serial number or some other identifier and give you a trial period, but I really don’t...- wagninger

It looks like they have an analog, wired input and a digital, wireless input. So I’d assume the same thing you do, the question is, do you do anything that requires their internal DSP? Room correction is critical for me, so I’d certainly go the wireless route if the analog path would bypass that.- wagninger

So the Oors outputs are always both on, if you run speakers from it and connect headphones, you’ll have signal on both, and no separate volume adjustment.- wagninger

Why don't you simulate that right now and put a filter on the test files starting at, say, 18kHz and see if you can still hear any differences? would be interesting I think- wagninger

Just a random interjection, I have another audio interface on the desktop for my active speakers because the Ferrum stack is not directly connected to the main desktop PC, but yesterday I decided to test it. the bad first: - connected to the Oor in bypass, my speakers did not turn off after 1h...- wagninger

You can do a lot with players like VLC that also accept web addresses as input, and there you can set the delay to exactly +- 2.5 seconds- wagninger
