Nope, I've got compilation albums with 'album artist' tagged as 'Various Artists' and they show up as individual artists. It also can't read the disc number tag, making a mess of multi-disc albums.

I'm running the 10.11 beta. A couple of people have had issues though and I doubt they're all running the beta. How old is your Macbook? Maybe it's just newer Macbooks? On the other site, a review says the dealer reached out to A&K and was told it's an unmitigable problem. 

I haven't been able to get it to work on my 2015 rMBP either. I read somewhere that apparently it's just not compatible with 3.0 ports on SSD Macbooks. Bummer.

There are alternative audio players. I'm planning on picking one up and if I don't like the stock music app I'll be using either Vox or Ecoute, along with whatever streaming music app I'll be subscribing to.

As far as I knew, the problem with album art was artwork being progressive jpeg instead of baseline jpeg. I had the same problem with my Clip Zip being unable to show my any progressive jpegs. The solution was the same, open it up in MS Paint, save as jpeg (which converts it back to baseline)...

I've owned the TH900 for about a week. Succinctly, the TH900 has a v-shaped sound. Clarity is great, treble sometimes bordering on sharp. Bass is very strong. Never boomy though, very clean. The mids are slightly recessed. They're fun sounding if you're into that. Definitely endgame "closed...

I'd suggest auditioning several different headphones, learning a little more about what you like and dislike. There are definitely technically better headphones, but it's more about what sounds good to you.
